Editorial Guidelines

Updated 21 Aug 2025

Our promise: Useful, human-written guides with a clear purpose, backed by experience and reputable sources. We follow Google’s helpful content principles and focus on serving readers first.

What we publish

  • Purpose-led Every article states who it’s for and what outcome it enables.
  • Practical Checklists, comparisons, and decision flows over fluff.
  • AU context Where relevant, we cover .au policies, local providers, and Australian regulations.

Creation and review

  • Human-written first draft. We use research tools, but a human plans, writes and edits each article.
  • Expert review. Posts about technical SEO, hosting and migrations are reviewed by an experienced practitioner.
  • Fact-checking. We cite or link to authoritative sources (e.g., ICANN, Google, Moz, Ahrefs) for claims, definitions and policy details.

Updates and freshness

  • Quarterly review cycle. We revisit cornerstone content at least every quarter or when policies change.
  • Changelog. Substantive updates change the “Updated” date at the top of the article.

Corrections policy

If we make a factual error, we’ll correct it promptly and, when substantial, note the correction at the end of the article.

Independence and links

  • Independence: Our opinions are our own. We don’t sell placement in editorial content.
  • Affiliate policy: We currently do not use affiliate links. If this changes, we’ll disclose clearly and mark such links.
  • Outbound links: We link to official docs and reputable sources to help you act with confidence.
  • Internal links: We link to relevant guides within DomainMasters.net to deepen understanding, and occasionally to agency services when it’s the natural next step.

Authorship and bylines

Every article shows the author, last updated date, and estimated reading time. Learn more on our author page.
